Installation Process

Preparation: To ensure that all your projects are done with durability, efficiency, and precision we take our time during the preparation process. We believe that prep is the foundation of a successful paving project.

Premier Landscape & Irrigation will excavate the area that is to be paved, set all the grades, and by a plate compactor, compact the earth before we begin the next step…building the base layers.

Building the Base: After prepping the site, we will now need to install the base layers. Doing these next steps is imperative to creating long-lasting, durable hardscape


	We will be filling the area with 6” of crushed stone and compact it until we have created a clean smooth surface.
	Next sand will be poured in the base area to further compact the surface. You are now ready to place your interlocking paver stones.
	Lastly, we will place your pavers on the sand and compacted stone, making sure we are paying close attention to the placement, alignment, and chosen pattern of your pavers.

Installation Process: Once the proper layering of the base has been completed we are ready for the installation.


	Using a high powered saw we measure and precision cut any pavers that need to match a corner, curve, and/or angle to ensure and clean, tight fit.
	It is now time to place the border. A border is a frame around the pavers that help contain the pattern and make the design look more attractive.
	Lastly we “lock” everything in place by using special glue or bonding agent between all the borders and pavers. This step will allow your newly paved area to be maintenance and worry free!

Setting & Clean-up: Finally we are to the last finishing steps. We take the time to make sure that all elements of your new paver patio, driveway, or walkway is up to the high standard of quality and workmanship that Premier Landscape & Irrigation demands. We will make sure that all the stones are set and sealed correctly and that our work will last a lifetime.


	Using a plate compactor we will gently force the paving stones into the sand.
	We then apply another layer of sand to the top of the stone. We then spread and sweep it into all remaining cracks and spaces. This will reinforce stones to ensure that they will not move or bunch.
	Once again, we use the plate compacter to further set the stones.
	For the last and final step in completing your new hardscape we thoroughly water the work area and compact one last time. By watering the surface, it will clean off any dirt, dust, and/or sand. It will also allow us to make sure all grades were set correctly.
